I no longer have to run around putting out fires, and the team no longer sits idle waiting for work,” the team leader noted.

Paper drawings at the workstations have been replaced by workstation terminals and tablets—complex structural details and dense parameter tables enlarge with a simple tap, ending smudged drawings, cumbersome page-flipping, and outdated revisions. Verification has changed as well: before work begins, operators must check materials against the drawings—specifications, material grades, quantities—and confirm everything is correct; after critical assembly steps, the single-person self-check has given way to two-person joint inspection with cross-verification.

“With terminals and tablets, I can zoom in and see everything clearly,” said a veteran fitter at an assembly station. “Add the pre-job material check and the two-person cross-verification after assembly, and there is one more layer of quality assurance—it gives me real peace of mind.”

With added oversight and clear standards to follow, zero-deviation dimensional assembly is now being achieved on every single product—and rework rates keep declining, giving customers even greater confidence in Jianlong SCBC’s quality.

03 A Lighter Workload: Energy Redirected to Higher-Value Work

At Jianlong SCBC, digital tools were introduced not to replace people, but to free them up. Error-prone, time-consuming drawing review and verification are now handled by digital terminals, and hours of walking the floor have given way to the clear scheduling board. The time and energy this releases are being reinvested where craftsmanship matters most—refining processes and improving workshop management.

“Before, most of my day went into finding drawings, waiting for materials, and checking dimensions,” said one frontline craftsman. “Now that these routine tasks are supported by digital tools, I can devote more thought to optimizing assembly methods and improving tooling efficiency. We are doing work with real technical depth and real value.”
